Where's Remy?

I have been waiting for this moment forever and we were lucky enough to get it on camera. The toilet paper rolls will never be safe again!

Mother's Day

What a great day we had with all the Grandma's/moms for Mothers Day. We started the day off with a great breakfast with my mom, mikes parents, brother and family. All the cousins had so much fun playing in the tent that now lives in our living room. In the afternoon we headed out to Thousand Oaks for a visit with more family and had the best time. We had a blast and felt the burn of exhaustion Monday for sure! But as always it was worth every bit of it :) Thanks everyone for making my first Mothers Day so memorable :)

Sister Luv'n

Remy & Macy had a great time exploring our friends Patrick and Alison's new home. They really loved the big TV and each other :)

What a way to start the weekend..

yep...a nice sprained ankle to start the weekend. Remy and I were on our way to the stroller friday evening and I stepped off one of the new concrete pavers in our yard wrong and down we went. Remy enjoyed the fall and smiled the whole way down. Thankfully the only thing that came of the fall was a sprain and thankfully we had some friends over that were kind enough to stay with the girls while Mike and I spent the evening in the ER. Not the weekend we had planned but we had lots of support from friends and family. Thanks everyone!!!!

The first Pig Tails

I call these "Pig" tails because there just is not enough hair yet to call them"Pony" tails.  So cute, I just could not help but share!

On the move...

It's official...the girls are crawling and really, REALLY good at it! They are enjoying the new found freedom and driving mommy and daddy crazy, hehehehe. It is only going to be a short while until they are walking. It is all happening so fast :)

Aloha!

We made it back with sanity in tack! We had a great and extremely exhausting trip to Honolulu, Waikiki with the girls. Crazy? ahhhhhh yes!!!! Don't think we will be doing that again in the near future....I think both our bodies will need about 5 years to recover!

It was so beautiful and so much fun seeing a little bit of Mikes history. He lived there for three years and was able to really give us a great journey and we had so much fun visiting with his old friends. They were so nice to take us out for a date night yachet race w/out the girls Thursday night and again for a cruise with the girls on Sunday. Macy & Remy did really well but Remy got a little sick toward the end of the ride. Attached is a funny pic of them taking a little nap, the motion put them out!

We had a great baby sitter through the hotel and had her come sit for three nights so Mike and I could actual relax and enjoy each other :)

We did just about eveything the island has to offer...snorkeling, sailing, swimming, shopping, eating, site seeing. We even caught the tail end of the Jack Johnson and Dave Mathews concert.

We look forward to sharing more details of the trip when we see you :)

First Meeting with Aunty

Grandma Kay and Aunty Beth came out for visit and the girls had so much fun playing with Aunty Beth. Remy kept Grandma Kay on her toes now that she is getting more mobile. Aunty Beth looked amazing in her size 6 jeans!!!!!!! I think we have all lost track on how many pounds she has lost...way to go girl!!!!! We send Grandma Kay all our best this Thursday and want her to know she is in our prayers and in our hearts :)

Its time to Ride!

We have been waiting for this moment since the girls were born. We just got our bike trailer today and Mike could not wait another minute to get the girls strapped in and out on the bike path. They loved it for about 10 minutes and then discovered that they could actually bug each other. When they are in their stroller there is a divider between them and they are more supervised. In the trailer it is all about them...all alone to bite, scratch, poke, pull...you name it it was happening. But I am happy to report that we all made it home safely from our inaugural ride and we plan on going out again tomorrow :)

What is cuter than a baby bunny? Two baby bunnies!

We had a full day today celebrating Easter with friends and families. The girls got lots of baskets full of goodies and papa D got his pockets full of sweets too :) We are exhausted and ready for some shut eye.

Girls Day Out!

A few weekends back me and the girls had an opportunity to go for a much needed "girls day out". We headed to La Cresenta for a wonderful visit with Grandma Suzanne, Aunti Linda and cousin Shawna. We had a fun time shopping and the girls totally enjoyed lunch with great company and good eats. Shawna was such a big help and loved feeding Macy. One of the other fun highlights was the really cool local pet store. I think I enjoyed it more than the girls! We are looking forward to another visit soon! Thanks everyone for making it such a wonderful day. Sorry for the delay in the post :)

South of the Border

We just got back last night at 11:30pm from an amazing trip to Mexico. Our friends have a beautiful house just outside of Ensanada, check out that view!!!! The girls had their longest drive to date and they did awesome! We discovered that Remy really likes the windows down, feeling the wind blow on her face and Macy not so much 
We had a great time doing some shopping in Ensanada, getting wet at the blow hole in La Bufadora, lots of eating everywhere and the most important thing…relaxing! The girls had a great time hanging out with Lucas and Ryder, the twin boyz and Mike and I enjoyed some much needed adult time with Suzi and Richard. They have a wonderful neighbor that baby sat for us a few times so we could go out baby free. We are already looking forward to our next trip. Thanks Suzi and Richard!

Bath Time

Last night was the first time we had the girls in the big tub together. They had a blast!!! I have tub bumpers on order but we could not resist and with two sets of hands Mike and I enjoyed all the silly grins and giggles. Bath time is going to get a lot more fun now that it is more of play time than a chore. It is still back breaking but it is worth it when they are having so much fun :)

Final Touches

The back yard has come along way and we are just about done. A few more flowers and some lighting adjustments and it is paradise! Mike has been working really hard at creating the perfect space for us to spend some lazy summer days. Mothers Day/twin birthday will be the big debut. Hope to see you there, more details to follow :) Great job baby!!!!

Lifes a Beach

This weekend we had some friends join us for some beach time. It was so much fun to watch all the girls play and explore the sand, they didn't even mind the taste :) Remy was loving the beach toys and giving us some leg...nice gams girl! We are looking forward to many more beach days and are looking forward to having lots of sandy play dates this summer...so pack your gear and get down here!!!!

My Sweet Little Angels!

I love this picture of the girls. It is not often that I get a cute, cuddly, milk mouth picture of them together. Remy was so tired...this was just after our little photo op when Macy attacked Remy's head...YIKES. Remy has made a full recovery and is doing just fine. I actually believe she has been working on her retaliation because she has been super sweet the last few days towards Macy, hehehe :)

Watch Out World...

Here comes Macy...are you ready? She is a force to be reckoned with and she is not going to take any prisoners!

I am still trying to get the perfect picture of Macy & Remy together having fun but on this day Macy had plans of her own. Just before this picture was taken they were playing nicely, laughing and drowling until Macy showed a relentless passion for Remy's hair, you can guess why Remy is not pictured. Poor little Remy!!!! In Macy's short life so far she has accumulated a lot of "Pay Backs" from Remy. I am not sure who I feel more sorry for, lol!!!!

Hanging with BFF's

Having a little bottle break with the Henton twins, Cash & Destin. It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I am thinking this one is priceless :)

Designer Shades

The girls sure like to show off their new shades! So cute :)

On all fours...What?

Papa D aka Mike is still working on the yard and to stay out of his hair, well what is left of it, the girls and I took a trip north to see Grandma & Grandpa Ostermann. I am still on a quest to get "the perfect picture" of the girls together smiling but once again I was defeated...actually all of us were. Never thought I would see the day when grandpa would get down on all fours for pictures sake! Thanks grandpa and grandma for making a very memorable moment!!!! The picture sums it up :) It was a great visit and we look forward to seeing more family soon :)
