Designer Shades

The girls sure like to show off their new shades! So cute :)

On all fours...What?

Papa D aka Mike is still working on the yard and to stay out of his hair, well what is left of it, the girls and I took a trip north to see Grandma & Grandpa Ostermann. I am still on a quest to get "the perfect picture" of the girls together smiling but once again I was defeated...actually all of us were. Never thought I would see the day when grandpa would get down on all fours for pictures sake! Thanks grandpa and grandma for making a very memorable moment!!!! The picture sums it up :) It was a great visit and we look forward to seeing more family soon :)

A visit with Nana

Nana (aka mamasita, aka Grandma Louise) came to help me out with the girls while papa D and Pops were working on the yard. We had a great walk to the park and had a chance to get some fun shots of Remy while Macy was taking a little nap in the stroller. We had such a great visit. Thanks for your help Nana!

The First Sunset

This past Saturday was so beautiful and so warm we decided to take the girls for their first sunset. It was so fun and they seemed to really enjoy it!

Backyard Update

The time has finally come to give the backyard a little updating. We wanted and needed to expand the grass area and reduce the planters for more kid space. We are so excited about the direction we are going and can't wait to show you the finished product. This picture is the "French Drains" going in. Looks to me like we are re-creating the Venice Canals! Thanks Pops for all your help :)

Writers Strike

The buzz is that the "Writers Strike is Over" . This is great news for all of us that work in the industry. It has been a crazy long while and we have had some really good friends lose their jobs. So hopefully in a few short months things will be back on track and everyone will be working!!!!

this is the only link so far that has some strike details...

A few of my favorite links...

This is a great link if your looking for cool places to go with the kids;
http://gocitykids.parentsconnect.com/?area=195

I reference this one all of the time. I have been making my own babyfood from the beginning and totally enjoy it; http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/

We have been working with the girls on signing as soon as they started looking at us. We were totally inspired by my own twin brother's family, it sure made communication easy in the early days; http://signingbaby.com/main/?pp_album=main&pp_cat=signing-baby-dictionary

Another great trip planner for the outgoing types; http://www.wejustgotback.com/

This is the coolest site EVER!!!! The girls get such a kick out of it and to be honest so do I. If your at work make sure your volume is down;

This one is for all the dads out there that need a little dad on dad time; http://www.dadlabs.com/

I LOVE, love this site. I get all the new posts sent directly to my email and I have to say there are some pretty clever parent tricks out there; http://www.parenthacks.com/

Big girl, big!

This past weekend we put the girls into their new car seats. Front facing big girl seats. It is so cool to have them facing us and enjoying the company. There has been some confusion on the laws though. Depending on what web site you go to it is either the girls have to be over 22lbs and one year old or it states it is "suggested" that either the child is over 20lbs and/or one year old. So as a safety I think we will be putting the seats in the rear facing position for now. We only have a few short months before they will be one. No need to rush things adn not be safe!

Our First Blog

Until I had babies I had no interest in blogging. Now all I want to do is share our every move with our loved ones. Enjoy!
