The Builder

Macy loves to play with her princesses and blocks. The blocks she is playing with were my mom's when she was a baby. I have so many memories playing with them at Macy's age with my cousins Jimmy & Lisa. Super cool to have something that has been passed down for generations :)

Travel Town

Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving is all about spending time with family and we put the miles on the truck to do so...and it was worth it. We had great visits with both sides of the family. Castillo's in Seal Beach and Ostermann's in Camarillo and Palm Dessert to see Grandma.

October....how i love theeee!

This month went by too fast to even comprehend. So many adventures. Lots of work and lots of changes.

All month Macy thought Halloween was "today" and all she wanted to be was a bunny. It started off as a "pink, blue, white and yellow" bunny. We compromised and I made her her favorite color, pink! It was so much fun to make and I really can't wait for all the costume projects that are ahead of us...right up my alley!

Remy could not decide what to be so I took them to a Halloween store and out of all the great costumes Remy decided on the Pink Unicorn. Had I known she wanted to wear a stuffed animal I would have pulled out one of the thousands we have in the garage. I could not say no to the sweet little face and she was a Unicorn riding Cowgirl! She can pull off just about anything she wears :)  She even had a small speaking part in the class Halloween Performance...a star is born! She loves the spot light :)

The girls have changed so much in the last few months. They are getting easier in public, less fears of me having to take them anywhere solo, Papa is much more brave than I am.  They are good with detail and listen fairly well for three year olds. I cherish our nights around the dinner table and get to hear all about their friends and what they are learning in school. They amaze me dailey!

The month ended with a little nip & tuck for mamma. Finally getting the ol'bod back and can't wait for the reveal over the Holidays! The recovery has been hard but Mike has been a true partner and has been amazing. The girls have also been truly wonderful and keeping their distance as to not hurt mommy. I am so blessed!

We started the month off with a great trip with all our neighbors to the LA County Fair. I have not been since I was a child and it was the best time! We got there early and hit all the rides with no lines and were out of there by 1pm and it was the last day so it was not busy, just an FYI for next year! Oh and don't try and eat a turkey leg or a hot dog by yourself....never in my life have I ever seen a hot dog that could feed a family of four and then we wonder why we have such a obesity issue in the states! WOW ;)

We managed to get out to the Terra Rejada Family Farms on the HOTTEST day of the year....record temps for this time of year!!!! We met a few friends out there but all the kids went in different directions and we never got a chance to visit, next year friends :)

Getting caught up after a long, long summer!!!!

We had such a full summer that the blog fell behind. We had so much fun this summer with friends and family! We visited Palm Dessert, Cabo, Tahoe, Mammoth, the beach, Santa Barbara, the beach and many more places. I have put together a few of the pics and hopefully more to come as I get more time, so many great pictures that NEED to be shared! And I promise to be more on top of this blog, it is so important to me to document our lives for Macy and Remy! Also a big "I Love You" to my wonderful husband, five years and still going strong! Fathers Day Weekend

A long over due visit with cousins, Aiden and Aubry. Macy and Remy had a blast playing with their cousins and friends this weekend. A dear friend London turned two, Jeremy and family joined us for a BBQ, Grandma Suzanne bunked in the spare room on the air mattress, Jenn, Bruce and Aiden took over the couch and living room. Macy and Remy shared their bed with Aubry. A full house and loved every minute. Thanks everyone for making this weekend a super special one. Wishing I wasn't having so many problems with my camera...I did not get enough pics of everyone. I did take some funny video but still can't figure out how to post it.

Papa got some much needed beach time this weekend. The weather was beautiful and the crowds were small. Macy and I combed the beaches for more shells and Remy and Papa explored the tide pools. Sunday the girls and I took Papa out for an amazing sushi dinner and then we went and crashed our neighbors house for a few hours. The perfect kind of Sunday. Happy Fathers Day to the man of my dreams and the best papa ever! We love you!!!

Everyday since Macy and Remy refer to the front unit as "Grandmas Place", too cute!!!

Garden Planted

Nothing gets you in the summer spirit like a garden! All planted now I just need to remember to water it :)

Thanks Papa for getting me all ready to plant...again you made my job easy!!!!

Occupational Hazards!

You guessed it Mike was bit by a pit bull showing a house. 14 stitches later and a little bit shy of dogs his ego recovered and so did his leg. The unfortunate thing in all this is the owner of the dog never called to see how Mike was doing. Who does that!!!!!

Sorry Papa :( But we are so happy that is all that happened!

The Playhouse

As you can see Papa and Grandpa put a lot of muscle in this playhouse! My part was easy :)

We were able to use some windows Papa found in the ally for the skylights and we used all left over paint I had collected over the years with my mural work. Some of our neighbors had some given us some used 2x4's from a commercial shoot.  The chandelier was bought at Ikea for $20 and after a few additions thanks to Grandma we have an amazing center piece! Even though we saved by using some recycled materials we might have been better off buying a pre-fabricated house....but what fun is that!!!!! A labor of love and worth every minute of it to see Macy and Remy's faces light up the closer we get to being finished.

Great job Papa and thanks Pops for all your hard work...the first few days of construction Pops had a really, really bad cold but it didn't slow him down. You rock Pops!!!!

Stay tuned for more updates and just a little side note about the doors. See the picture of Remy with her hand on the door...well that was minutes after she had pulled the whole door frame down. Papa is not sure exactly how she did it but knowing Remy she was probably swinging/hanging off it :) Papa made sure that door is never going anywhere again!!!

Easter Weekend

I love Easter weekend...lot's of friends and family, we needed one more day this year to celebrate with everyone :)

Friday Mike and I kept the girls in school so we could do some work on the playhouse and get the garden planted. I have about ten varieties of tomatoes. We also planted zucinni, peppers, onions, cilantro...i will be ready for salsa!

Saturday we headed to Woodland Hills for a BBQ at Lucas and Ryder's house. Mike and I got "space" jealous! Remy had so much fun running from one side of the yard to the other...no matter what her mission she ran it :) Macy loved all the toys and was happy hanging out doing what she loves the best..reading and eating :)

Sunday we headed to Pop's and Nana's house for their traditional feast! It was so much fun getting all the cousins together, everyone is growing so fast!!!!

Such a great weekend :)

What better way to spend a sick day...

A quick run to the fabric store and we had enough fabric for three tutu's. The girls had fun picking their own colors and flowers. Remy was feeling better than Macy and was able to give me some cute shots of her new tutu :) We are ready for Spring....Super sweet!

Another Sick Weekend :(

Poor little Macy has it bad. The worst cough we have had in a long time :(

Time with family

Mikes God Mother was in town for a visit and he had the perfect opportunity to visit. I unfortunately was not able to make it but by the looks of the pictures everyone had a great time!

Spending time with friends...

2010 is going to be a year that we make more time for our friends. It seems to have been a bad pattern in 2009, because nobody seemed to have time for much of anything but everyone wanted to find time. I am so excited to have more days like this one. I had my best friend over in the am and some of my other close friends over for the afternoon! A perfectly spent day :)
